This machine conforms to guidelines set by The American National Standards Institute. This test uses a tilting platform to determine the center of gravity of a fully loaded wheelchair with brakes applied.

The tilt machine is also used as a research and development tool. Used to determine wheel spacing and tilt angles during design, we are able to build safety into every product we produce. Crash Tested Models include the Cruiser, Metro, EZ Rider, Scout, Safari. Convertible, and the Rodeo.

Convaid Transit Wheelchairs are WC-19 Compliant!
Crash tested in accordance with Annex A, ANSI/RESNA WC/Vol.1 Section 19, and found to meet or exceed the performance requirements of subsection 5.3
